Ugandan musician King Saha has questioned the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of comedian Yokana Mbuuse, popularly known as Kapere Lufotose, suggesting that the entertainer may have been killed rather than dying of natural causes.
In a statement raising fresh questions about the comedian’s death, King Saha claimed that Kapere may have been trying to communicate something important to his wife, popularly known as Mama Trump, while lying on his sickbed but died before revealing what was troubling him.
According to the musician, the circumstances surrounding Kapere’s final moments deserve closer examination, arguing that his death should not simply be dismissed as natural without further investigation.
“They killed Kapere, and I am the one saying it. I live in Nakawuka,” King Saha reportedly declared, challenging security agencies to investigate the matter.
He also directly appealed to the Uganda Police Force, questioning whether detectives had done enough to establish what exactly happened before the comedian’s death.
“Don’t you think you need to dig deeper into this matter?” he asked, addressing police through their official social media account.
King Saha’s remarks have introduced a new dimension to public discussions surrounding the comedian’s sudden death, which shocked fans and colleagues in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
Kapere reportedly collapsed on Sunday evening after attending his daughter’s school performance in Buddo. He was subsequently rushed to Zam Zam Clinic before being transferred to Royale Health Services Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Reports surrounding his final moments indicated that he had complained of a severe headache and bitten his tongue before his condition deteriorated.
However, no publicly established medical findings have confirmed that Kapere was murdered, and King Saha’s allegations remain unverified.
His intervention now raises questions about whether police will examine the claims and establish whether there are grounds for a formal investigation.
For now, the circumstances surrounding Kapere’s death remain a subject of public concern, with calls growing for clarity over what happened during his final hours.
