Mbarara City Decked in NRM Colors Ahead of Presidential Campaign Rally

Mbarara City, Uganda Mbarara City has been transformed in yellow, the signature color of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), ahead of the party’s presidential campaign rally at the Golf Course Grounds in Booma Cell.

Supporters have draped major streets with NRM banners and decorations in preparation to welcome President Yoweri Museveni, the party’s presidential candidate. The preparations are evident across the city’s two divisions: Mbarara City South and Mbarara City North.

President Museveni is expected to arrive in Mbarara City this afternoon, before proceeding to Bushenyi and Sheema on 2 December as part of his Western Uganda campaign tour.

According to the 2024 census, Mbarara City comprises 23 wards and 186 villages, with a population of 264,425 residents. The rally is expected to attract a large turnout from within the city and neighboring districts.

City authorities and rally organizers have called on residents to cooperate with security personnel and adhere to safety measures to ensure the event proceeds smoothly.
