The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has released the full list of winners and losers following hotly contested parliamentary primaries held across Uganda this week.
The primaries marked by heavy security, scattered incidents of violence, and the reported deaths of at least two people delivered major political upsets and revealed a significant generational shift within the party.
Several senior ministers and long-serving Members of Parliament (MPs) were voted out, while a mix of new entrants and returning political figures made strong comebacks.
