Insights from reliable sources at the Ritah Kaggwa Blog reveal that UPC president Jimmy Akena Obote has been troubled for months by the spirit of his late father, former president Milton Obote Opeeto.
Family members have reported that Akena met with Museveni at State House and traded the UPC party for Shs 1.5 billion, leaving him unable to sleep well as his father’s spirit persistently urged him to fight for power, assuring him that they (the spirits) would support him in the struggle.
Unfortunately, Akena has not utilized the money he received for any positive endeavors.
This situation has fueled Akena’s commitment to spearhead the call for political change in Uganda, openly opposing General Museveni’s nearly four-decade-long reign.
Akena expressed his emotions with fervor and resolve as he spoke to a gathering at Kalaki Primary School in Kalaki District not long ago. “I’m prepared to meet my father in death, and if necessary, I’ll join him for the sake of change in Uganda, but this situation has become unbearable,” Akena stated, referring to his deceased father, former President Milton Obote, who led Uganda for two terms until his unexpected decline in power.
