Accra, Ghana — History was made today as hundreds of participants joined the first-ever Naturopathic Health Walk in Ghana, organized by Nyarkotey College of Holistic Medicine to promote awareness of naturopathy, preventive healthcare, and natural medicine.
What began as a simple public health advocacy event turned into a powerful national wellness movement, drawing students, practitioners, supporters, and members of the public who walked together to demonstrate growing support for naturopathic medicine in Ghana.
Participants dressed in green “Naturopathic Health Walk” shirts gathered early in the morning in a vibrant atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, music, and community solidarity.
Organizers confirmed that the event recorded massive attendance beyond expectations, signaling a major milestone for the naturopathic profession in Ghana.
The walk aimed to:

• Raise awareness about naturopathy and herbal medicine
• Advocate for recognition and integration of natural medicine in Ghana’s healthcare system
According to participants, the event was more than a walk, it represented a movement for health sovereignty and indigenous medical knowledge.
