In accordance with the Presidential Action on the Reorganization of the Government, Head of Public Service Felix Koskei has announced changes to the physical addresses of ministries and state departments. These adjustments aim to facilitate the Administration’s plan for the nation, known as the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
As part of this reorganization, the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary (Prime CS) and the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, led by Musalia Mudavadi, will now be situated at the Old Treasury Building on Harambee Avenue. However, Prime CS Mudavadi has clarified that his office will continue to operate from the Railways Headquarters.
Another change involves the office of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management CS Moses Kuria, which has been relocated to the Kenya Railways Headquarters on Haile Selassie Avenue. Previously, CS Kuria worked from the Two Rivers shopping Mall in Ruaka while serving as the Industrialisation and Trade CS.
Several ministerial head offices have retained their existing locations, including the Attorney General’s Office, Interior, National Treasury and Economic Planning, Defence, Roads and Transport, and Lands.
The affected ministries include Cooperatives and MSMEs, which have been moved to the Social Security House Block ‘A’ Eastern Wing. The Sports ministry has been relocated to Talanta House, and the Tourism ministry has shifted from Utalii to Social Security House Block ‘A’.
Gender, previously housed at Harambee House, has been moved to the Kenya National Library Services Headquarters in Upper Hill.
Felix Koskei emphasized that this reshuffling aims to promote synergy among ministerial head offices and expedite the implementation of the BETA plan. All ministries and state departments have been directed to take note of their designated head office and make the necessary arrangements for compliance with the new locations.
