Enid Abampire Niwabiine is a 33-year-old mother of four who is sitting her Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams this year. She is an inspiration to her children and to other women who are considering returning to school.
Abampire dropped out of school in 2008 when she was in Senior three to get married. She had to make a difficult decision, but she knew that it was the best decision for her family at the time.
After her marriage, Abampire focused on raising her children. But as they grew older, she started to think about going back to school. She missed learning and wanted to set a good example for her children.
In 2023, Abampire enrolled in senior four at Kihanga Secondary School in Rukiga District. She knew that it would be challenging to study with younger colleagues and to balance her studies with her responsibilities at home. But she was determined to succeed.
Abampire’s journey back to school has not been easy. She has had to work hard to catch up on her studies and to manage her time effectively. But she has never given up. She is grateful for the support of her family and friends, and she is excited to complete her secondary education.
