Mr. Vincent Pacotoo, a serious mobilizer of PLU (Patriotic League of Uganda), has commended census supervisors and enumerators in Agago district for working so hard, making the census exercise successful within the stipulated period of time. “I am grateful for H.E the President and the CDF Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for boosting the census exercise.
Well done for Census 2024, with the motto ‘It Matters To Be Counted,’ all went well in many parts of the country, especially Agago district,” added Pacotoo. He requested the government of Uganda to involve the youth this time around in the 2026 general election. Hence, the government should focus more on youth during mobilization.
Mr. Vincent Pacotoo is contesting under PLU for the position of District Councilor representing Lira Palwo Town Council in Agago district local council in the 2026 elections. Vincent said in both Lira Palwo Town Council and Lira Palwo Sub-County, Agago district, the exercise was very successful with about 100 percent of households counted.
He was part of the enumerators who worked and did the best in Awen village, Omongo Parish, Lira Palwo Sub-County. He was speaking to The Ankole Times newspaper in an exclusive interview on Saturday morning from Lira Palwo Town Council.
Vincent added that very soon they will hold an election for the PLU structure once the roadmap is out. At the moment, he is advocating for several government programs such as Emyooga, PDM, YLP, UWEP, wealth creation strategy, and socio-economic transformation. He commended H.E President Museveni for always grooming the youth for leadership positions.
He narrated that H.E the President has restored peace and stability in Northern Uganda after the LRA insurgency. Pacotoo applauded Museveni for always being a caring father who has made ex-combatants benefit through the Amnesty Act and provisions, as witnessed during the LRA war. Meanwhile, he has urged all Ugandans to support Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s efforts in all aspects concerning PLU.
He noted that as PLU supporters, they are more than ready for any activity implemented by Gen. Muhoozi that will come their way.
