Bobi Wine Announces London Concert: “The Return of the Gladiator”

Bobi Wine, a prominent figure in Ugandan politics and music, has announced his upcoming concert in London titled “The Return of the Gladiator.” This event is promised to be bigger and better than before, featuring an upgraded venue, a larger lineup of artists, and extended hours of entertainment. Set to take place on April 20th, 2024, the concert marks a departure from political activities as Bobi Wine focuses on organizing a music event in the United Kingdom, away from the bans on his performances in Uganda due to his political involvement.

Recent updates from Bobi Wine’s social media accounts provide insights into his activities leading up to the concert. On April 11th, he expressed his delight in hosting and spending quality time with comrades who are dedicated to the struggle for a free Uganda. Despite not holding elective positions, these individuals are committed to striving for a better country through various activities. Bobi Wine acknowledged their commitment and encouraged them to remain hopeful, assuring them of the eventual victory of the people of Uganda.




On April 10th, Bobi Wine and his wife, Barbra Itungo, celebrated Eid al-Fitr by opening their home to young ones whose lives are affected by the absence of their loved ones. They shared the Eid meal with children and relatives of political prisoners and those who were disappeared due to their political beliefs. Through this gesture, Bobi Wine aimed to instill empathy and community spirit in their hearts, reminding them that they always have support and family in times of need.




Earlier, on April 10th, Bobi Wine attended the funeral of his uncle, Kojja Kambugu Francis, in Ggogwe-Namwanzi, Kalungu East. During the ceremony, he highlighted the pervasive poverty and injustice not only in Buganda but across the entire country. He emphasized that such challenges prompted him to leave his comfortable life and join the masses in the fight for a country where all citizens can lead dignified lives.




Tickets for “The Return of the Gladiator” concert in London are priced at 50 Pounds (approximately 235,000 Shillings) for standard tickets, 70 Pounds (approximately 334,000 Shillings) for Bronze Tickets, 100 Pounds (approximately 478,000 Shillings) for Gold Seats, and a thousand pounds (approximately 4.7 Million Shillings) for a Table.
