Eight Killed in Village Attack in Kagadi

(Kagadi) – A violent attack in Mizizi A Village resulted in the deaths of eight residents, with several others injured, prompting an ongoing police investigation.

On October 29, 2024, around 9:00 PM, a tragic incident unfolded in Mizizi A Village, located in Kyaterekera Sub County, Kagadi District. Unknown assailants launched a violent attack on residents, leading to multiple fatalities.




The victims included Nyirambe Boniface Rogers, 41; Yokononia Isakara, 76; Kabuwere Norah, 64; Muhindo Praise, 7; Kabugho Anitah, 44; Masika Kabagenyi, 3; Baluku Ferdinandi, 13; and Kabugo Olive, 13. Their deaths have deeply affected the community, which is now grappling with the aftermath of this shocking event.




In addition to the fatalities, eight other individuals sustained injuries during the attack and have been admitted to various clinics in the Kyaterekera area for medical treatment.




In response to the incident, a joint team comprising police officers and military personnel from the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) was dispatched to the scene. During their operations, law enforcement authorities encountered two suspects, identified as Baguma Obedi, 33, and Munyirambe David, 36. Both suspects were reportedly neutralized during the encounter.

Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack and are committed to providing updates as more information becomes available.
