A two-year-old boy, Francis Opolot, lost his life due to an illegal surgical procedure conducted at a drug shop in the Aron trading center of Acomai village, Amuria district. The tragedy has prompted an active pursuit of the prime suspect, Michael Oronon, and any accomplices involved in this unauthorized medical procedure.

The East Kyoga territorial police, under the guidance of police publicist Fred Enanga, have launched an intensive effort to locate Oronon and others associated with the incident. The illicit surgery, which took place at the suspect’s drug shop, was an attempt to address a severe health concern related to the victim’s tongue. However, it resulted in uncontrollable bleeding and subsequent vomiting, ultimately leading to the tragic death of the child.

According to Fred Enanga, a cut was found under the victim’s tongue during inspection, but no external injuries were observed on the child’s body. This disturbing incident has raised serious questions about the lack of proper medical facilities and the risks associated with seeking medical help from unqualified individuals.
