Four individuals lost their lives in a tragic road accident on Thursday evening along the Kabale-Ntungamo Highway. The incident took place at Omukenyanya-Rwahi Rwentobo on the Ntungamo-Kabale Road, when a vehicle with registration number UBE 170C (Fuso Fighter) driven by Opio Lawrence from Amagoro in Tororo District was involved in a collision. The victims included Opio, Birungi Frank from Kitwe Town Council in Ntungamo District, Maduk Deng Ayuk, a South Sudan national, and an unidentified adult male.
According to Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region Police spokesperson, the bodies of the deceased were transported to Kisiizi Hospital for a postmortem examination, and the vehicle was taken to Rubaare Police Station for inspection by an inspector of vehicles (I.O.V).
Efforts are currently underway to identify the remaining body and inform the relatives of the deceased, as the authorities work to complete this unfortunate chapter of the incident.
