Two Individuals Detained on Suspicion of Involvement in the Death of 75-Year-Old Woman

In Greater Masaka and Rakai Districts, two male concubines are in police custody on suspicion of being involved in the death of a 75-year-old woman named Nakaweesi Maria. The incident occurred on October 7, 2023, at approximately 2 PM in Rakai district, specifically in Nabugando village, Kitaasa parish.

The victim, Nakaweesi Maria, was reportedly assaulted by one of her partners, Kakooza, on October 4, 2023, around 10 PM. On the following day, the sandals of her other partner, Suuna, were found at her home. She chose not to disclose what transpired during the night. Sadly, her health deteriorated, and she passed away in her home on October 7, 2023, as her son, Kimbugwe Yudah, was preparing to take her to the hospital.




The investigation into this case is ongoing, and the authorities are working to determine the exact circumstances surrounding Nakaweesi Maria’s death.
