MBARARA – Police at Rubindi Police Station have arrested a 30-year-old man on allegations of stealing sugarcane in Mbarara District.
The suspect, identified as Acifonci Muhooza, was arrested in Ekicuundeza Cell, Kagongi Sub-county, following reports linking him to the alleged theft.
According to police, Muhooza is currently being held at Rubindi Police Station as detectives continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged offence.
Authorities said inquiries are ongoing to establish the full details of the case before the suspect is presented in court.
Police have urged members of the public to respect other people’s property and report any suspected criminal activities to the nearest security authorities for appropriate action.
