Three Injured in Attack on Christmas Disco in Obongi District

Three people were injured in Delo village, Liwa Parish, Gimara Sub-county in Obongi District during a Christmas transnight disco dance when a group of over ten thugs attacked revelers last night.

The injured include Kenyi Kasim, Amoru Abubaker, and Ijoi Moffat, all residents of Delo village.

The suspected thugs destroyed property, including the public sound system, and stole a battery before fleeing the scene.

The RDC of Obongi, Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, and the District Internal Security Officer (DISO) visited the crime scene this morning, accompanied by police led by the district crime intelligence officer. They ordered the immediate arrest of the suspects involved in the assault, property damage, and theft.

The victims reported to security officers that the suspected thugs used knives to injure them and even stole money collected from disco-goers.

RDC Hashaka condemned the attack on innocent people celebrating Christmas. He assured the injured individuals that the suspects would be apprehended and brought to justice.

The RDC commended the residents for their vigilance in reporting the incident to authorities early this morning.
