Memorial Service for Former MP Okabe and Wife Scheduled for Saturday

The memorial service to honor the lives of former legislator Patrick Okabe and his wife, Christine, who  lost their lives in a car crash on December 19, 2022, is set for this Saturday. Organized by religious leaders in the Teso region in collaboration with the Okabe Foundation, managed by the late couple’s children, the event aims to celebrate their legacy.

The service, scheduled to take place at “our home in Oburin B village, Olio sub-county, Serere County in Serere district,” will see the presence of Speaker of Parliament Anita Among as the chief guest. Additionally, MP Emmanuel Omoding Okabe, the son of the deceased, shared that various ministers and MPs, including Hellen Adoa (State for Fisheries), Peter Ogwang (State for Sports), Keneth Obote (Teso Affairs), have confirmed their attendance.
