The Muslim fraternity within the Uganda Police Force recently organized an Iftar Dinner to mark the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan and promote unity within the Islamic community. The event took place at the police headquarters in Naguru and was attended by Muslims from various security agencies, as well as well-wishers and community members.

Under the theme “Enhancing Moral Awareness for Career Growth, Social Cohesion, and Development,” the one-day dinner aimed to underscore the importance of moral values in professional and social spheres. It provided an opportunity for members of the Islamic community within the police force to come together and strengthen their bonds.

Dr. Rashid Semuddu, a prominent figure within the Muslim community, delivered remarks during the dinner, emphasizing the significance of humility in the pursuit of serving and protecting others. He encouraged Islamic believers within the force to align their actions with the teachings of Allah as they carry out their duties.

Senior Commissioner of Police (SCP) Hadijah Namutebi, Acting Commissioner of Police in Charge (Ag CPC), echoed Dr. Semuddu’s sentiments in her address. She emphasized the importance of discipline in the workplace as a stepping stone to assuming greater responsibilities within the force.

The Iftar Dinner served not only as a platform for celebrating the end of Ramadan but also as an opportunity to promote camaraderie and mutual respect among members of the Uganda Police Force. It exemplified the force’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and recognizing the cultural and religious diversity within its ranks.

The event concluded with prayers and reflections, as attendees expressed gratitude for the opportunity to come together in fellowship. It served as a reminder of the values of compassion, unity, and service that underpin the spirit of Ramadan and guide the endeavors of the Uganda Police Force.
