Hundreds of supporters of the UPC party are jubilating everywhere on the streets of Dokolo town as they await the official results of the District Woman Member of Parliament by-election from the Independent Electoral Commission.
Preliminary results of the poll held on March 21, 2024, collected from a few polling stations indicate that Sarah Aguti, NRM’s Adongo Janet Elau, and Alwoch Ogwal of FDC are the top three candidates with the highest votes.
