The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has announced that the results for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) exams will be released this week.
While UNEB has not disclosed the exact date for the release of the results, some officials have indicated that the exams might be released tomorrow, February 11, or on February 13.
They confirmed that the release would happen within this week.

“In addition to the pioneer candidates of the new curriculum, we have another group sitting for the Transitional Examination under the old curriculum,” a UNEB official added.
A total of 379,748 candidates sat for both exams, with 369,601 being pioneers of the new curriculum and 10,147 taking the transitional examination.
The UCE results are highly anticipated by students, parents, and educators across the country, as they determine the future academic prospects of students.
Notably, this year’s UCE exams marked a historic shift in the country’s educational framework, as candidates were assessed under the new lower secondary curriculum for the first time. To facilitate a smooth transition, UCE candidates sat for two separate sets of exams: one under the new curriculum and another referred to as the “Transition Examination.”
UNEB’s theme for the 2024 exams, “Embracing Security and Holistic Assessment of Learners in a Dynamic Environment,” reflects the board’s commitment to adapting to the changing educational landscape.
