This cohort of 2023 candidates represents the final group to sit for the UCE examination under the old curriculum. During the announcement, Uneb will also discuss plans to facilitate the transition to the new curriculum.

In 2023, a total of 349,459 candidates participated in the UCE Examination, compared to 364,467 in 2022. Of these candidates, 184,064 were female, and 180,357 were male. Uneb oversaw 3,861 examination centers.

These results mark the second examination release by Uneb following the recent release of the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
