Fountainhead Institute in Lira Receives NCHE Accreditation, Expands Educational Offerings

Lira, Uganda – The Director of Fountainhead Institute of Management and Technology in Lira City, Mr. Okao Tom, has announced that the school received accreditation and classification from the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) in 2018, marking a significant improvement in its educational standards on its campus in Amuca Ward.

During a media briefing held at his residence in Bar Sub County, Mr. Okao, the founding director of the esteemed institution, stated that Fountainhead Institute was established in 2006 and subsequently registered and classified by NCHE in 2018. Okao highlighted that, since its inception, the institution has successfully graduated a total of 9,827 students, with 617 learners currently enrolled.




He further explained that the higher diploma courses are complemented by National Diploma and National Certificate programs, which include Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Animal Production and Management, among other courses available on campus.




Additionally, the institution is piloting the implementation of the presidential campaign on a four-acre model in Ober Parish, Bar Sub County, Lira District. The project focuses on livestock farming, with Mr. Okao personally managing 300 chickens, 100 goats, turkeys, and a number of cattle on his farm.




Mr. Okao encouraged parents and guardians within and outside Lira District to send students at all levels to the institution to benefit from the improved education standards and the variety of courses offered.
