KIU Titans and KIU Rangers, two basketball teams from Kansanga International University (KIU), have earned places in the National Basketball League (NBL) Championship Finals, marking a significant achievement for the university.

In the Semifinals, KIU Titans displayed their dominance by winning all three matches against UCU Canons. Simultaneously, the KIU Rangers made history by outclassing the JT Lady Jaguars. Both of these teams have maintained an unbeaten record in the postseason, demonstrating their potential to secure the championship.

KIU Titans are on a redemption journey, aiming to avenge their 2017 finals defeat to City Oilers, who are pursuing their ninth consecutive title. By eliminating UCU Canons, the Titans are now on the verge of potentially achieving their first-ever championship. On the other hand, City Oilers advanced to the finals by defeating Our Saviour Basketball Club.

The current season has been a remarkable success for KIU Rangers and Titans, elevating them from potential contenders to formidable forces in the NBL. The KIU Titans started the season strongly by winning the UCU Open, and they are determined to conclude their journey with a historic championship victory.

The KIU Rangers, often underestimated, have defied expectations by sweeping the JT Lady Jaguars. Although some skeptics question their ability to match last year’s finalists, the JKL Dolphins, the Rangers’ determination and hunger for glory make them strong contenders.

The community in Kansanga may soon have reason to celebrate as both KIU Rangers and Titans are poised to compete for the coveted NBL championship titles in both the men’s and women’s categories.
