Pte. Ayoo Odyek Ceaser, the mindset instructor at Lango Presidential Industrial Skilling Hub, has rallied the youth to undergo a mindset change towards their vision.
Lango Industrial Skilling Hub is one of the 18 zonal hubs opened under the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E. Gen. Yoweri Museveni Kaguta, in order to eradicate poverty among the youth.
According to Private Ayoo Odyek Ceaser, 240 students graduated last year from Lango Industrial Skilling Hub, located at Lira University. Currently, they are in the process of recruiting a new group of students who will be joining in another intake soon.
There are currently eight courses being offered at the Skilling Hub.
“I am very happy to have been invited to orient the youth at the Lira City Youth Conference on Wednesday,” says Ceaser.
Ceaser was speaking to The Ankole Times yesterday in an interview from Lira City Council Hall.
Ayoo mentioned that the only challenge they noticed was complaints in the recruitment process from the sub-counties in each district. However, they hope to correct this in the new group that will be enrolled soon.
Ayoo was addressing the media shortly after his speech to the youth at Lira City Council Hall, organized by the City Youth Councilor Hn. Oluma Hagai, supported by Global Forum For Development (GLOFORD) Uganda and Plan International.
He added that the future of Uganda relies heavily on the youth, and therefore, the youth should be willing to change their mindset toward fighting poverty if they are to succeed in life.
“And right now, they are in the process of recruiting another team, although the recruitment starts from the villages to the district. So far, there are no serious challenges because the State House has provided everything in place for the learners.
In addition to a team of committed staff who are good team players for mindset change and socio-economic transformation, the youth in Lango Presidential Industrial Skilling Hub have 30 staff members.”
