Rubanda Best Performers Get District Quota

Rubanda district local government officials led by the District LC5 Chairperson Ampeire Steven Kasyaba today verified six students for the district Quota Admission Scheme for the 2024/2025 academic year.

The six students performed exceptionally well in last year’s UACE Exams and are all from schools within Rubanda district.

The six students are: Twikirize Betty and Ayebare Betty from St. Agatha Girls Secondary School Kakore, Niwatwine Anitah and Arinda Pamela, both from Muko High School, Kato Dismus from Bufundi College, and Tumwebaze Honest from Bubare Secondary School.

Addressing the students and their head teachers at the district, Rubanda district LC5 Chairperson Ampeire Steven Kasyaba urged the students to appreciate their parents’ support.

Kasyaba cautioned the students about succumbing to worldly pressures, warning that some might be lured by sugar daddies or mummies who would ultimately destroy their lives.

He further advised them to prioritize their studies and academic qualifications before seeking employment.

Kasyaba attributed the high performance to the collaborative efforts of headteachers, the district political team, and the technical staff.

He advocated for increasing the number of students admitted under the district quota system to at least 10-15.

Some of the high-performing students, Niwatwine Anitah with 17 aggregates, Arinda Pamela with 17 aggregates, and Kato Dismus with 18 aggregates, encouraged their fellow students to work hard to benefit from the government’s district quota admission scheme.
