In preparation for the 2023 national exams in Uganda, educational institutions are reminded to submit coursework results to the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) electronically via their portal. The deadline for this submission is Saturday, September 30. The national exams will commence on October 16, starting with Geography, following the candidate briefing on October 13.
Subjects that require coursework submission include technical drawing, art and design, French, woodwork, metalwork, and building practice. Schools that fail to meet the deadline will face a surcharge of sh50,000 per candidate. UNEB emphasizes that no coursework scores will be accepted after October 15.
Candidates who have transferred to another school must ensure that their coursework assessment scores are made available at their new center, which should then submit the scores to UNEB.
Additionally, educational institutions are urged to collect necessary stationery, including answer booklets, graph papers, art papers, and timetables, without delay. Schools should provide each candidate with a timetable and display a copy on the school noticeboards. Failure to submit coursework scores in subjects where it is required will result in candidates not receiving a grade.
