KAMPALA, Uganda — Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) officials are scheduled to meet the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Museveni, on Wednesday at State House Nakasero to present a formal briefing on the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examination results.
The briefing will be led by UNEB Board Chairperson Prof. Celestino Obua and Executive Director Dan Odongo. State Minister for Higher Education, John Chrysostom Muyingo, is also expected to attend.
Sources indicate that the UACE results are likely to be released to the public on Friday, subject to final clearance following the State House meeting. The official release date is expected to be confirmed after the briefing.
The UACE results constitute the third and final set of national examination results for the 2025 academic cycle, following the earlier publication of the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) and Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results.
According to UNEB registration data, 166,464 candidates registered for the 2025 UACE examinations, representing a 14.7 percent increase from the 141,996 candidates recorded in 2024, the highest growth rate among the three national examination levels.
The Minister is expected to be apprised of the overall performance of the candidates, as well as any notable trends or issues that emerged during the examination process.
The briefing is a standard procedure, allowing the Minister to prepare for the official release of the results and to address any concerns or questions that may arise.
