The peace lovers of Uganda should reject entertaining a group of people who are writing and commenting badly against Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
I would love everyone, including those facilitated to tarnish the image and the name of Gen Muhoozi, to first understand who Gen Muhoozi is.
Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces, is not what the critics talk about, but this is a General who takes time to receive all the insults and acts when he’s over provoked like any other person created by God.
He spends much of his time trying to clean the image of UPDF and intelligence departments so that every Ugandan will live a peaceful and a wealthy life within the country.
Before President Museveni appointed Gen Muhoozi to command the army, UPDF’s image was badly tainted. The same Ugandans branded UPDF as a stealing force; fuel was being sold by soldiers, food was being sold by soldiers, soldiers were not paying their individual debts, and soldiers were being regarded as a raping force, among many other negative claims.
However, two years down the road when Gen Muhoozi took over, UPDF’s image is 99.9% clean due to the tough measures that Gen Muhoozi has put in place.
Several soldiers who could do bad things with impunity because no one could arrest them have now been tamed by Gen Muhoozi, which I would love Ugandans to applaud, as the UPDF is now clean.
Look at many government construction projects that were allocated to civilian contractors, how long they took without being completed, and compare them with projects under UPDF.
This shows you that UPDF soldiers are on record of working within the framework and are clean.
However, much as you talk ill against Gen Muhoozi, God’s plan for Gen Muhoozi to be the next president of this country will not be changed.
