The Minister for Finance in the Inzu Ya Masaba, Hon. Andrew Masaba, who is in charge of receiving finances for the Bamasaba cultural institution, says the Government of Uganda has released 300,000,000 shillings (three hundred million shs) and he confirms receiving it.
“On behalf of the Bamasaba cultural leadership, I can confirm receiving this money and we shall put it to the intended use to ensure that the Imbalu launch slated for 3rd August at the Mutoto Cultural and Heritage Centre is magnificent,” Hon. Masaba stated.
Hon. Masaba, who is also an Assistant Commissioner in the Ministry of Finance, Government of Uganda, says he will use his extensive knowledge of financial management in government to ensure that all the funds received by the Bamasaba cultural institution from any source, whether government or individual, are put to their intended use to support the Imbalu program. “We shall give full accountability to our people,” he stressed.
Hon. Andrew Masaba confirmed receipt of 10,000,000 shillings from the Prime Minister, Government of Uganda, Hon. Nabbanja, as support towards Imbalu.
The spokesperson for Inzu Ya Masaba, Mr. Steven Masiga, says the Bamasaba cultural leadership has received money from the Government of Uganda, the Prime Minister’s Office, and local governments in the region like Mbale District Local Government, which was confirmed by CAO Mr. Lwokudu. “Sironko has given us money, as have Manafwa and Namisindwa. My work as spokesperson is to update the country, and finance should ensure full accountability of any funds received.”
“Mbale CAO Mr. Lwokudu has done commendably in supporting the cultural institution in many facets,” Mr. Masiga concluded.
