Kampala city businessman Godfrey Kyeswa, the owner of Maria’s Galleria Plaza, has reportedly been flown to the United States of America after his health deteriorated.
According to sources, Kyeswa’s condition worsened last week, prompting his family to seek specialized treatment abroad. He is said to be admitted to the ICU and currently on oxygen support, as doctors work tirelessly to stabilize him.
Before being flown out, Kyeswa is reported to have made a will, instructing his brother, fellow city tycoon Tom Kitandwe, to oversee his vast business empire — which includes several commercial buildings across Kampala, Wakiso, and Mukono. The move has allegedly caused tension and panic among some family members.
Kyeswa has long battled diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart complications, but insiders reveal he was recently struck by a mysterious illness that also affected his mental health.
