Kiryandongo District, Uganda – Hon. Adokorach Irene, the ONC Coordinator for the Bunyoro Sub-Region, has mobilized hundreds of residents in the area to warmly welcome H.E. Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni during his ongoing wealth creation tour.

Speaking to our reporter from Karuma Town Council, Kiryandongo District, Adokorach, commonly known as “the People’s Choice,” stated that the people are eager to welcome President Museveni to Bunyoro Sub-Region and specifically to Kiryandongo District.

This visit is part of President Museveni’s ongoing Parish Development Model (PDM) assessment tour, aimed at evaluating the implementation of the PDM program in the region.

During his visit, President Museveni is expected to engage with local leaders, model farmers, and beneficiaries of the PDM program, as well as the media. He will also commission several government projects, including the Presidential Skilling Hub and the groundbreaking ceremony for Bunyoro Public University in Buhimba.

The President’s visit is seen as an opportunity to boost wealth creation and strengthen the implementation of the PDM program in the region. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja emphasized that the tour is focused on mobilizing residents to join the money economy and empowering local people to create wealth.

Adokorach commended President Museveni for his consistent message on wealth creation, which he has delivered effectively during his tours across various regions of Uganda. “Together, we must embrace PDM, Emyoga, UWEP, YLP, and other government programs for effective development, service delivery, and wealth creation,” added Irene.
