Kisoro District is set to host the 39th Annual Crusade of the Alfa and Omega Christian Fellowship, which is scheduled to take place from August 24, 2025, to September 1, 2025.
This was confirmed during a meeting of pastors from Pentecostal and Born-Again churches across Kisoro District, Kampala, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and the United Kingdom. The meeting was held at Kisoro Community Church in Southern Division, Kisoro Municipality.
Addressing a gathering of pastors, Bishop Abdul Hakim Semakula, the Director of Alfa and Omega Christian Fellowship based in London, urged the religious leaders to embrace collaboration and equality among different faiths as a means to achieve salvation.
Bishop Semakula commended the religious leaders for promoting interfaith understanding through open dialogue, educational programs, and cultural exchanges aimed at fostering mutual respect and understanding.
He emphasized, “Open dialogue and unity are crucial among us because they are where blessings and salvation are found.”
Bishop Sseguya Yasin, the leader of Alfa and Omega Christian Fellowship in Uganda, called upon the public to attend the crusade, regardless of their religious backgrounds. He encouraged pastors to respect all beliefs by recognizing and honoring the diversity of religious practices, as this is the path to heaven.
“I am calling on all believers of Christ in Kisoro District to attend the crusade as a way to find relief. I appeal to pastors to respect every religious background, as long as it is based on faith in Jesus as our Savior,” Bishop Sseguya said.
Mutabazi Francis, the Coordinator of Crusades for Alfa and Omega Christian Fellowship, urged the public to embrace love and kindness, which he believes have a profoundly positive impact on individuals. He also acknowledged the hospitality of the pastors in Kisoro District and encouraged them to support the ruling government, which has prioritized freedom of worship.
“As Alfa and Omega Christian Fellowship, we have been organizing annual crusades in different districts across Uganda for the last 38 years. Now, we are in Kisoro to spread the Word of God,” Mutabazi stated.
Meanwhile, Pastor Sam Rukundo, the Director of Missions for Kisoro District Pentecostal Pastors Fellowship and newly elected Chairperson of the organizing committee for the upcoming crusade, expressed gratitude to Alfa and Omega for choosing Kisoro as the venue for this event. He pledged to collaborate and mobilize the public for the crusade.
Pastor Baluku Napoleon from the Democratic Republic of Congo, who was also elected as Chairperson of the organizing committee in DRC, acknowledged the work of Alfa and Omega Christian Fellowship and committed to spreading the Gospel beyond borders.
