Okidi Patrick, Kole District – Kole Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Omara Olili, has been congratulated and appreciated for effectively highlighting various government contributions and achievements in Kole District. She eloquently discussed departmental performances within the district.
According to Olili, Kole District serves as the food basket of Lango sub-region, particularly contributing significantly to agro-productivity, which has bolstered Lira City’s agricultural sector.
She reported that the access to clean piped water in Kole District stands at 89%, with overall productivity improving to 80% across various sectors in the district.
In a related development, she urged the Government of Uganda to expedite the recruitment and confirmation process for Kole district staff appointments.
The recent distribution of hand tractors by the Government of Uganda has significantly boosted productivity levels in Kole District.
During a workshop organized by the Ministry of Ethics and Integrity under the President’s Office at Pauline Hotel in Lira City on Monday and Tuesday, several local government officials from the Lango sub-region raised concerns about challenges in the region’s nine districts and one city.
Commissioner for Ethics, Policy, and Standards, Mr. Moses Eric Makumbi, publicly commended RDC Omara Olili for her eloquence and detailed presentation on the implementation status of government programs and service delivery levels in Kole District during the interactive session.
Makumbi praised her comprehensive knowledge of government programs and policies, noting her ability to articulate them accurately from memory. He described her as a hardworking RDC deserving of appreciation for her exemplary performance.
