Premier Bet Uganda, a well-known company, organized a donation drive to assist the Katalemwa Cheshire Home for Rehabilitation. During this drive, they collected essential items from their employees, customers, and partners. These items were later donated to the children at the Katalemwa Cheshire Home. The donated items included diapers, baby soya, rice, sugar, detergents, maize flour, jik, liquid soap, cement, paint, and baby wipes.

Kenneth Kabaale, who serves as the online and marketing manager at Premier Bet, explained that the company felt compelled to support the children’s home and improve the quality of life for the children. He mentioned that Premier Bet is committed to giving back to the communities they serve and that their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program aims to make a positive impact on various aspects of society. This time, they decided to partner with Katalemwa Cheshire Home, an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children with physical disabilities in Uganda.

Kabaale further noted that the donation’s primary purpose was to enhance the living conditions for the children and young adults residing in the home. Their goal was to positively impact the residents, improve their well-being, provide opportunities for personal development, and create a supportive and caring environment. Premier Bet hopes that their donations will improve the living conditions at the home and create a sense of community and uplift the spirits of the residents.

Robert Omwony, the Managing Director of Premier Bet, expressed that the donations have enriched the lives of the children at Katalemwa. The support has led to increased confidence, improved educational prospects, and expanded aspirations among the children. Additionally, the local community has shown solidarity with this cause, fostering a sense of togetherness and collective responsibility.

Omwony mentioned that Premier Bet’s commitment to making a positive impact is ongoing, and they have a roadmap of initiatives focused on education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.

Officials from Katalemwa Children’s Home extended their appreciation to Premier Bet for their helping hand and support.
