A 26-year-old traditional healer’s life was turned upside down when she was allegedly raped by a male client during a ritual. The traumatic experience left her in shock, questioning her calling and struggling to trust men again.
“It happened so suddenly,” she recounts. “He pushed me onto the bed and grabbed me. I was in shock, unable to process what was happening. I came here to offer spiritual healing, and this is what happens to me.”
The trauma of the experience has caused her to doubt her ability to trust male clients again. She anticipates a long and arduous journey towards regaining her confidence and resuming her practice.
“Right now, the fear is overwhelming, and I feel hesitant to continue helping others,” she admits. “But I know that this cannot deter me. I cannot simply walk away and abandon my calling. I am here for a reason, and I must find the strength to move forward.”
The road to recovery will be long and arduous, but the healer refuses to let this incident extinguish her passion for helping others. With time and support, she hopes to rebuild her trust and continue serving her community.
