The Mawokota North legislator, Honorable Kiyaga Hilary, popularly known as Dr. Hilderman, has come forward to vehemently deny allegations of betraying National Unity Platform (NUP) leader, Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine. The accusations, which have been circulating among Bobi Wine’s supporters, claim that Dr. Hilderman has deviated from their cause and accepted bribes from the ruling regime.
In a recent interview with a YouTube channel, Dr. Hilderman firmly refuted these claims, expressing his unwavering loyalty to Bobi Wine, whom he described as a long-time friend, brother, and leader. “I will never part ways with Bobi Wine,” Dr. Hilderman declared, emphasizing the deep bond they share.
Addressing his critics, Dr. Hilderman did not hold back. He criticized those who, according to him, hide under the guise of the struggle to tarnish his reputation. He warned that such behavior is harmful to the movement, causing people to lose interest in their cause. “I won’t stay silent while these people’s actions ruin the struggle,” he asserted.
Highlighting his longstanding relationship with Bobi Wine, Dr. Hilderman pointed out that Bobi Wine’s signature is on his marriage certificate, challenging his detractors to prove they have similar evidence of closeness to the NUP leader. “Let them show their marriage certificates with Bobi Wine’s signature if they have any,” he dared.
Dr. Hilderman also spoke about his resilience and commitment to the struggle, drawing from his tough background where he sold items on the streets to make ends meet. “I’m a gangster, a bad man who has endured all sorts of situations. I can’t be shaken by mere words,” he said, emphasizing his unyielding nature.
He reassured his supporters that he remains a committed member of NUP and is fully dedicated to the effort to unseat President Museveni. “I’m still super committed to the struggle to oust Museveni,” Dr. Hilderman affirmed, putting to rest any doubts about his allegiance to the NUP and its cause.
