MP Maneno Zumura Donates 470 Iron Sheets to Improve Housing in Obongi District

Obongi, Uganda – Many residents in Obongi district have vowed to re-elect MP Zumura Maneno to maintain her position as Obongi district Woman MP in the 2026 general elections.

The Woman MP of Obongi district, Hon. Maneno Zumura, has handed over 470 iron sheets to the residents of Palujo Parish in Palorinya sub-county under her decent housing project, which she started in Obongi district as a permanent solution to improve housing conditions in her district.




The iron sheets are valued at 19,740,000 UGX, including 600,000 UGX for transportation.




While handing over the iron sheets to the residents of Palujo Parish, she appealed to them to use them properly by roofing their houses so that they can live a better life.




Hon. Zumura Maneno stated that she started the decent housing project to help her constituents move away from grass-thatched houses, which are a security and health hazard.

The residents of Palujo Parish in Palorinya sub-county, Obongi district, praised Hon. Maneno Zumura as the best MP Obongi has ever had. They pledged to vote for her again as an appreciation for her good work.

 




In an interview with our reporter on Sunday afternoon, via phone, Hon. Maneno Zumura pledged to continue with the project to ensure Obongi district progresses in terms of decent housing.

Mohamed Zari of Palorinya sub-county expressed his happiness for such a holistic and permanent development brought to the area by MP Maneno.

A 55-year-old woman from Palujo Parish commended Zumura for such significant development and urged fellow residents to ensure she runs unopposed in the forthcoming general elections.
