MTN Group and Huawei have joined forces by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a Joint Innovation Technology Lab. The signing ceremony took place at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, on February 28, and was attended by senior delegations from both MTN and Huawei. This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in fostering innovation within Africa’s digital ecosystem.
As part of the agreement, an Innovation Technology Lab will be established at MTN Group’s headquarters in South Africa. This lab will serve as a neutral platform for collaboration, facilitating the development, deployment, and adoption of innovative digital solutions across the continent.
