Museveni Blesses Kiwanda’s ‘Kisoboka’ Agric Expos, Confirms Attendance at All Ten

National Resistance Movement( NRM) National Vice Chairman for Buganda, Godfrey Kiwanda Ssuubi’s Kisoboka Agricultural Regional Expos have recieved a mega boost after President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni confirming he will be in attendance as
the campaign is set to start a tour of Central Uganda.




Kisoboka is a poverty alleviation program to boost grassroots incomes and socially transforming communities in line with President Museveni’s social economic empowerment agenda aimed at driving the 39% of the population out of poverty by introducing them into the money economy.




Launched in early May in Wakiso, Kiwanda’s initiative is positioned to awaken the population from an economic slumber by preaching productive agriculture using small pieces of land for higher yields to economically empower themselves.




The drive with roll out its tour of Central Uganda in July with a series of events called ” Kisoboka Agricultural Expos in ten different parts of Buganda.

According to the program calendar seen by our reporter, the action packed period will run from July 19th to September 22nd.

The first expo of the ten is scheduled to take place from 19 to 22 July 2024 at Mukono Municipality with participation expected from all the districts that make up Greater Mukono.




The campaign will then head to Greater Luwero, Greater Mpigi, Greater Kibiga, Greater Mubende, Greater Luwero, Greater Wakiso, Greater Kalungu, Greater Lwengo, Greater Rakai and climax with Greater Masaka from Friday 20 to Sunday 22, July, 2024.

Participants at the expos are expected to go home with valuable tips on modern, low capital consuming, but high income yielding agricultural practices which will be the backbone of driving social economic transformation in Uganda.

While addressing Assistant Resident Commissioners at the National Leadership Institute( NALI) in Kyankwanzi last week, Kiwanda revealed that President Museveni will officiate the closure of each of the ten expos on every last day of each event which will be a Sunday.
