In the midst of bright stage lights and a cheering audience, singer Patrick Mulwana, famously known as Alien Skin, now finds himself in hot water, facing the possibility of up to one year behind bars.
The trouble began when entertainer Edwin Katamba, also known as MC Kats, officially lodged two complaints at Jinja Road Police Station late last night. The first complaint, under SD Ref: 80/08/09/2023, alleges “cyber harassment and defamation,” while the second, with SD Ref: 79/08/09/2023, claims “assault” against Alien Skin and other unnamed individuals.
The incident unfolded during singer Geosteady’s concert at Hotel Africana, where Alien Skin’s entourage physically removed MC Kats from the stage in a manner that can only be described as unconventional. This resulted in MC Kats taking swift legal action against Alien Skin.
As of now, there have been no reports of the accused being apprehended by law enforcement authorities. The circumstances surrounding this dramatic on-stage encounter remain somewhat unclear, given the history of both MC Kats and Alien Skin’s involvement in controversies.
In videos circulating on social media, MC Kats can be seen hesitating to relinquish the microphone to members of Alien Skin’s team before the latter’s performance. This standoff seems to have set the stage for the unexpected ‘airlift’ incident.
With the legal battle heating up, MC Kats has also accused Alien Skin of cyber harassment and defamation, citing weeks of verbal sparring involving not only MC Kats but also the emerging child artiste, Champion Ogudo.
While the motive behind the on-stage altercation remains uncertain, one thing is clear: Alien Skin, undeterred by the unfolding drama, continued with his performance, much to the delight of the enthusiastic crowd.
In the wake of this spectacle, many figures within the entertainment industry have taken to the microblogging app X to express their disapproval of MC Kats’ rather unconventional stage exit.
