Nakawa Coordinators Pledge Support as Hon Mawanda Strengthens PLU Structures

KAMPALA, Uganda — The Director of Mobilization for the Patriotic League of Uganda, Micheal Mawanda, on Thursday held a strategic engagement with party supporters, reaffirming the importance of strengthening grassroots structures.

The meeting took place at the PLU Secretariat in Naguru, where Mawanda hosted a delegation of Nakawa Division Parish Coordinators led by Isaac Okwalinga. The team paid a courtesy visit to congratulate him upon his recent election victory as Member of Parliament for Igara East.

During the engagement, the coordinators reiterated their unwavering commitment to intensifying grassroots mobilization efforts across Nakawa Division, pledging to expand the reach and influence of PLU within local communities.

In his remarks, Mawanda welcomed their support and emphasized the need for discipline, unity, and organization among mobilizers. He noted that maintaining a strong and positive public image is essential as PLU positions itself for greater national engagement.

He also advised the coordinators to remain prepared for upcoming operational guidelines expected from the MK Fund administrators, which will guide the next phase of mobilization activities.

The meeting reflects growing momentum within PLU ranks, particularly in urban centers like Nakawa, as the organization continues to consolidate its grassroots base ahead of future political developments.
