In a show of unity yesterday, NRM supporters in South Africa gathered under the umbrella “NRM Diaspora South Africa Chapter,” led by SPA-Trade, Hon. Kakuru Phillip, and organized a massive victory party for H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for successfully winning the 2026/31 general elections with 71%.
The event, which was marked with excitement and jubilation, was graced by the Secretary General of the NRM Party, Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, a number of NRM CEC members, including Chairman Jonard representing the Western Region, Dr. Tanga Odoi, and a team from the Secretariat, among other notable figures.
In his remarks, Rt. Hon. Todwong applauded the NRM South Africa Chapter for its consistency in championing the major NRM agenda of patriotism, Pan-Africanism, democracy, and socio-economic transformation.
He added that it is worth celebrating the victory of H.E. Museveni and emphasized that this victory was achieved because of collaborative efforts from all stakeholders.
Todwong further applauded Hon. Kakuru Phillip for uniting NRM supporters in South Africa and assured them of the commitment and support from the NRM National Chairman, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Hon. Kakuru Phillip thanked the NRM National Chairman, H.E. Museveni, for his continued trust and confidence in the NRM Chapter of South Africa.
He appreciated Rt. Hon. Todwong for honoring the invitation and blessing the mega celebration. He called on his fellow comrades to continue trusting H.E. Museveni and the NRM Party, citing that it is the only party with a clear agenda.
The event ended in happiness and jubilation, with food and drinks. No stone was left unturned.
