LIRA, UGANDA – In a significant show of support ahead of the official nomination exercise, Mr. Geoffrey Etwop, the esteemed Clan Head of Ober Clan and a long-serving National Resistance Movement (NRM) cadre, has called upon the people of Lango sub-region to warmly receive and endorse President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
The call to action comes on the eve of the President’s nomination, which is scheduled for tomorrow. Mr. Etwop emphasized that continued support for the NRM government is synonymous with ushering in more development and consolidating the achievements already registered in the region.
His remarks were made in the wake of President Museveni’s recent successful visit to the Lango sub-region, a tour that highlighted government projects and engaged with local communities.
“As a community, we have witnessed the tangible benefits of the NRM government’s policies,” stated Mr. Etwop. “From improved infrastructure to enhanced peace and security, the evidence is clear. Tomorrow, as our President presents himself for nomination, it is our duty as the people of Lango to welcome him and show our unwavering support. This is not just about politics; it is about securing continued development for our people.”
Mr. Etwop, a respected cultural and political figure, elaborated that supporting President Museveni’s nomination is a direct investment in Lango’s future.
