Obongi, Uganda – Muslims in Obongi district have resolved that President Yoweri Museveni Kaguta should be given another 25 years as President of the Republic of Uganda. This was during Eid al-Fitr prayers held at Ewafa Mosque in Ewafa Sub-county on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
The Muslims said President Yoweri Museveni is a visionary leader who has developed Uganda and is the only capable President who can continue leading Uganda. They asked the RDC of Obongi District, Mr. Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, who attended the prayers to deliver the message to the President that they want him to continue leading the country for another 25 years. They said they are ready to campaign for the President for the next 5 terms.
They thanked President Museveni for accepting to introduce Salaam Banking in Uganda. According to them, Salaam banking will cause economic and social transformation among the Muslim community.
In an exclusive interview with our reporter, Hashaka advised the Muslim community to embrace the PDM program, among other government programs introduced by H.E. the President, as far as wealth creation is concerned.
