Obongi, Uganda – The RDC of Obongi, Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, has officially handed over seven tractors provided by the government of Uganda to the Obongi district. The handover ceremony took place at the Obongi district headquarters.
Obongi recently received one large tractor and six hand-driven tractors. The large tractor was handed over to the Obongi District Farmers Association, represented by Mr. Gabriel Aliga, while each of the hand-driven tractors was allocated to the subcounty farmers’ associations.
The RDC, accompanied by the area MP of Obongi, Dr. Bokha Didi George, CAO Otim Benson Humphrey, District Chairperson Hajji Buga Khemis Buga, DEC members, and technical staff, advised the beneficiaries to utilize the tractors effectively.
He encouraged them to cultivate high-value crops as a means to uplift themselves from poverty.
