The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Obongi, Mr. Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka, has been gifted another 10 hectares of land in recognition of his efforts in fighting corruption, promoting government programs, and fostering development in the district.
The land, located in Dello Village, Liwa Parish, Gimara Sub-county, Obongi District, was donated by the Vuciri clan. During the official handover ceremony, Ajaga Swaleh, representing the Vuciri clan, stated that the donation was a gesture of appreciation for Hashaka’s hard work, commitment to fighting corruption, and dedication to promoting government initiatives.
In response, RDC Hashaka expressed his gratitude to the Vuciri clan for their generosity. He pledged to continue his efforts to develop Obongi District and improve the lives of its residents.
Hashaka also revealed that he has so far received a total of 70 hectares of land from the people of Obongi. He plans to declare this land to the Inspectorate of Government (IGG) and use it to teach modern agricultural practices, aiming to drive socio-economic transformation in the district.
Hashaka’s work has earned him widespread support from the community, including a group of Obongi elders who recently signed a petition to block his transfer from the district.
