Rubanda District LC5 Chairperson, Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba, has pledged to continue his development agenda from where he left off, following his nomination as the National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer for the LC5 seat.
Speaking shortly after his nomination, Kasyaba emphasized the need to complete several ongoing projects in the district.
His priorities include the completion of the Rubanda District Hospital, finalizing the office of the District Health Officer, and addressing pending school infrastructure projects.
He also committed to ensuring the sustainability of key water initiatives, such as the Bushuura Water Project.
According to the District Returning Officer, Medard Nteziyaremwe, the nomination exercise began on Wednesday. Out of 60 individuals who collected nomination forms, 38 candidates were successfully nominated. For the LC5 chairperson race, three candidates had picked forms: Ampeire Stephen Kasyaba (NRM), Twinomujuni Julius Buzare (Independent), and Habasa Obed (UPC).
However, only Kasyaba was nominated, as both Buzare and Habasa failed to present the required number of supporters.
