At 8:00 PM on the evening of December 26th, Loro Town Council was engulfed in gun smoke after gunmen shot three people in Loro Town Council, Oyam District, and then disappeared into a nearby small forest.

According to reports, these gunmen, dressed in uniforms and covering their faces with facemasks, entered a hardware shop belonging to businessman Robert Obote. They fired two bullets into the air, prompting the police from Loro Town Council Police Station to respond immediately to the scene.

Afterward, they went to a Rice Miller factory where they shot and injured three people who were working at that time before fleeing to the forest near Loro Town Council for hiding.

The three victims were identified as Ebwol Innocent, Okello Emmy, and an unidentified individual. They were taken to St. John Pop Hospital ABER for treatment. Ebwol Innocent was shot in his leg, while Okello Emmy and his colleague were shot in their hips. Okello reported that a bullet remains lodged in his body.

Robert Ekwaro, the chairperson of LC3 Loro Town Council, speculates that the gunmen were either interested in robbing money from the hardware shop or stealing motorcycles from Bodaboda operators.

When contacted, William Komakech, RDC Oyam District, confirmed that the police, together with army officers, were deployed on the ground, searching the bush for the culprit to be apprehended at the time of compiling this story.
