In an interview with Mr. Eseru Paul, the Pakwach Resident District Commissioner (RDC) and head of security in the district, he emphasized the crucial role of guiding the public during this sensitive time. The security directives were established based on three key principles: Prevention, Detection, and Curtailing.

To reach a wider audience, the guidelines have been translated into the local language and will be broadcasted on radio stations throughout the festive season, starting from December 21.

Among the 18 issued guidelines are measures such as guarding against terrorism, encouraging the reporting of any suspicious persons or objects, and requiring all lodges and guesthouses to record clients’ original documents. Additionally, visitors intending to celebrate Christmas are mandated to report to the LC1 chairpersons, adhering to the various stipulations outlined in the comprehensive guidelines provided by the Pakwach district security team under the leadership of RDC Eseru Paul.
