Perez Muhwezi and Peace Kabasweka showcased their golfing prowess at the par 71 Entebbe course on Saturday, emerging victorious in the Men’s and Ladies categories, respectively, in the first leg of the IM Bank Golf Series.

The next round of the series, scheduled for June 29, will feature a format change to “Tee for Me,” where pairs will compete with both players teeing off at each hole and switching balls for the second shot. The team score will be determined by the net score, with each pair designated six holes for individual play, with the worst net score counting.
Among the other winners, Vincent Katutsi clinched the gross title with a score of 81, while Paul Habyarimana and Brian Omeda emerged victorious in Group A and Group B, respectively, with scores of 76 nett and 71 nett on count back.

Although no golfer claimed the prized car placed for a hole-in-one on hole 10, co-sponsors Victoria Motors, along with sponsors RwandAir, GA Insurance, Fenon Events, and Johnnie Walker, contributed to the success of the event.
The IM Bank Katogo Golf Series promises more thrilling rounds ahead, showcasing the talent and skill of golfers in Uganda’s vibrant golfing community.
