President Museveni to Address Cultural Leaders on Development Programs

President Yoweri Museveni is set today to address cultural leaders across Uganda in Kololo.




The spokesperson of the Bugisu cultural institution, Steven Masiga, said President Museveni is supposed to address Their Highnesses on the promotion of government programs under a theme termed as “Repositioning Cultural Institutions for Community Mobilization, Uptake of Government Programs, and Socio-Economic Transformation Program for Traditional and Cultural Leaders in Uganda,” which is being conducted under the auspices of the Ministry of Gender and Social Development.




According to the protocol program released by the chairman of all kings in Uganda, each king is supposed to be accompanied by ten (10) officials from his kingdom.




Masiga said, basing on the laid-down protocols, the Umukuka was accompanied by his spouse Annet Mudoma, the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Dr. Paul Mwambu, among other Bugisu cultural institution officials.

President Yoweri Museveni will be represented by the Vice President, Her Excellency Rtd. Major Jesca Alupo.

The cultural leaders are supposed to mobilize their communities for development. The Umukuka III has embarked on a program of moving through all schools across Masaabaland and will host all schools by September this year to speak to all learners.




“We expect learners to showcase their projects. As a cultural institution, our other task is to mobilize all Bamasaaba to participate in all government programs.”
